This is the last mural I have been working on, a big dinosaur taped to the wall. So far is the biggest one I have painted, 8’x 8′.
It has definitely been a big challenge. I generally like to paint in a realistic style, using or trying to use, a technique called Trompe-l’œil. All my murals are done in acrylic paint, which is not my most comfortable media, but I have come to learn my own ways when using it.
All I want to convey with this paintings is the impossibility of the size and scale of this object, maybe just having fun and playing with scale. Since I started painted taped thing in canvas, in a much smaller scale, I always wanted to paint a big one, and this is the one.
